Four Stewart, Melvin & Frost Attorneys Named to ‘Georgia Super Lawyer’ Lists

Super Lawyers magazine has named four Stewart, Melvin & Frost attorneys to its 2018 Super Lawyer and Rising Stars lists.

Doug Stewart was honored as Super Lawyer in Business Litigation and Lydia Sartain in Family Law.

Brook Davidson was named a Rising Star in the area of Estate & Trust Litigation and Rustin Smith was recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation.

“We are proud of our Super Lawyer honorees and the recognition that comes with being included in such a distinguished list of Georgia attorneys,” said Randall Frost, the firm’s managing partner. “We believe this reflects on their expertise, capabilities, and reputation throughout the state.”

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of Georgia lawyers meet the criteria for inclusion in the magazines’ Super Lawyer listing. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. Only attorneys 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less are eligible for the Rising Star recognition.

Super Lawyers are nominated by their peers or are identified by the Law & Politics research department. Candidates are graded on several criteria including verdicts and settlements, representation of clients, honors, position with the law firm, and bar and other professional activities. The candidates are classified by firm size – small, medium and large. Those with the highest point totals in each classification are named Super Lawyers.

Founded in 1936, Stewart, Melvin & Frost specializes in a broad range of legal services, including business law, tax and estate planning, municipal bond financing, real estate transactions, litigation, and mediation services. Based in Gainesville, the firm serves a regional client base throughout North Georgia. For more information, visit its website at smf-law.com or call 770-536-0101.
