Boys & Girls Clubs Of Lanier Rebuild Playground Destroyed By Fire
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier recently reopened its playground that was damaged by fire in 2020.
Through a strong response from the community and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs raised the necessary funds to rebuild the playground. A ribbon cutting was held on Aug. 25.
Our partner Brook Davidson serves as president of board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier and has been a longtime board member.
“This playground is instrumental in giving our kids an opportunity to interact with each other, run, jump, play and just have unstructured free time where they’re able to focus on not just having a good time but also on improving their health,” said Davidson in an article in The Times.
The new playground has many of the same elements and types of equipment as the one that was destroyed in an arson incident on July 25, 2020.
